Q: How many musicians are in the band?
A: Our band varies in size from 3-piece for a jazz trio to 9-piece with a horn section. The size of the band you hire should fit the type of function you are having, the number of guests attending, the style of music you want played and the size of the venue. We take all of these points into consideration when making a recommendation for the size of the band.
Q: How long does the band play and how many breaks do they take during the night?
A: A standard event is 4 hours. Within the 4 hours our band will play a minimum of four 45 minute sets with three 15 minute breaks.
Q: Do you play continuous music?
A: Absolutely. We have several different options regarding continuous music. Please inquire about various options.
Q: Can you provide music for our ceremony and/or cocktail hour?
A: Yes, you can hire either one or more of our musicians to play at your ceremony and/or cocktail hour.
Corporate clients often want to make a statement at the first moment their guests arrive. A smooth jazz trio playing in the background while drinks are being served. Or a funky, hip band playing all of your favorite '70's and '80's hits while everyone dances the night away.
Q: How do we pick the kind of music we want?
A: The repertoire for the event will be based on two elements: first and foremost your input. This is your event and we want it to be the way you want. Secondly, if you give us the go ahead, the band will play songs and styles of music based on your stated goals. If you've told us you'd like your guests up and dancing, we'll act accordingly. If you want a specific theme and ambience, that's the way it will be. However, in no case will any music be played, which you have deemed undesirable. We are here to be of service to you. Period.
Wedding cocktail hours can be anything you want them to be. Often, elegance and a prelude for things to come are appropriate. The sound of lovely classical music on the piano, or maybe a soft jazz trio as your guests quietly mingle. It's up to you, this is your special day!
Q: Will the band learn a special song?
A: Yes, the band can learn any special songs, if you provide us at least 4 weeks, plus a CD of the song, we will guarantee it will be mastered and performed at your event.
Q: Will the band play at a comfortable volume level?
A: Yes, it is important to maintain a volume that is comfortable and pleasant to everyone at you event.
